Fours: Every indirect deal, connected

Where we were

We started as Suger with one job: make cloud marketplaces work for software companies.

We knew that pain before we started the company. At Salesforce, I learned that 60 people can touch a million-dollar deal, and that every new channel multiplies the people and the systems. At Confluent, Chengjun watched urgent engineering tickets pile up as marketplaces became one of the company’s biggest channels.

So we built one system to fix it. Along the way we’ve had the privilege of working with enterprises like Workday and Atlassian, the leading AI labs, and startups like Decagon and Sierra.

Our customers kept pulling us further into every part of revenue work: not just the marketplace listing, but the co-sell referral before it, the partner program (PRM) around it, and the billing and revenue recognition after it.

Why Fours

More software companies are finding indirect channels to accelerate growth: cloud marketplaces, strategic partnerships, resellers, systems integrators, and distributors.

These routes have become some of the most important ways software gets bought, and the technology never caught up. Direct sales has CRMs, CPQ, deal intelligence, and billing built around it. Indirect got left behind, and its technology behind it today is archaic.

In our first year, someone at AWS described what they called the power of three: the software company, the channel partner, and the cloud. It stuck with me, because every deal we touched had that shape and the same gap. Many parties and nothing connecting them. The deal moved between their systems, and that’s where it fell through the cracks: a CRM built for direct sales, a partner portal cut off from the money, a finance team reconciling by hand.

What was missing was a fourth: the system that connects the other three, so the ecosystem can grow. Revenue takes a village, and things are better in fours.

We make third-party routes to market first-class.

Where we are

Fours has driven over $10B in indirect revenue for over 300 customers from first partner signal to recognized revenue. They rely on us for critical infrastructure to expand their routes to market confidently.

We’ll keep building the record behind every deal a partner touches.

Our PRM is a good example. Our customers onboard partners, register deals, and pay commissions in the same place they track the deal, so a partner gets paid on what was actually closed.

Fours AI works off that record. Our agents take on the work nobody was staffed for, from partner referrals and MDF to billing errors and late payments. They start in shadow mode and just watch. Once you trust one, it preps the work and you hit approve. Autopilot only happens when you say so.

Third-party routes got spreadsheets and portals. That’s what first-class means to us: every route to market gets the infrastructure direct sales takes for granted.

May the fours be with you.
